Monday Menu Planning and Plans For a New Year

 Happy New Year!!! I hope you were able to find a little time to celebrate the ending of 2022! We were fortunate to be surrounded by family and much better weather than last weekend! So I have made some New Years resolutions, as you do, and I thought I would share a few. One is to spend less time on screens and hopefully more time on my home. The madness that has been 2020 to basically now has seen my house keeping attempts slide. The second one is to try out some new recipes. Last week I was looking for the link to my favorite chicken meal and realized that not only do we seem to eat the same foods all of the time, but that we hadn't had my favorite chicken meal in over a year. Now a big reason for that is the price of chicken has been more than I am willing to pay. But I want to make sure that I am making an effort once in a while to do something nice for myself, and since I have to feed us anyway, I might as well make sure to make something I really like too once in a while.

Monday-

  • Breakfast- Cereal, banana
  • Lunch-  Leftovers, veggies and dip
  • Dinner- Black bean burgers, baked potatoes, peas

Tuesday-

  • Breakfast- Oatmeal, banana
  • Lunch- Sandwiches, pretzels, carrots
  • Dinner- Spaghetti, green beans, garlic toast

Wednesday- 

  • Breakfast- Peanut butter toast, banana
  • Lunch-  Tomato soup, grilled cheese
  •  Dinner- Mac and cheese with polish sausage coins, roasted broccoli, garlic toast

Thursday-

  • Breakfast- Oatmeal, banana
  • Lunch-  English muffin pizzas, applesauce
  • Dinner- Bbq lentil biscuit cup recipe, cole slaw

Friday-

  • Breakfast- Peanut butter toast, banana
  • Lunch- Sandwiches, crackers, fruit cocktail
  • Dinner- Meatball subs, pasta salad

Saturday-

  • Brunch- Fried bologna sandwiches, fried potatoes and onions
  • Dinner- Biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cooked apples

Sunday-

  • Brunch- Pancakes, scrambled eggs
  • Dinner- Ham and potato chowder, garlic biscuits, strawberry banana smoothie
