Monday Meal Planning and Big Savings, Yay!

We had such a good shop this week! Our local IGA had a 99 cent sale for two days over the weekend and there were a bunch of things on it. I came home with two packages of bologna, 10 packages of hotdogs, 10 boxes of strawberries, 10 boxes of blueberries, 6 bags of potatoes, 9 ears of corn (3 for 99 cents) and two bags of grapes! Most of the strawberries and blueberries will go in freezer bags and we'll save a couple of boxes to eat fresh. Then we'll finish the grapes later in the week. The sausage and hotdogs will go in the freezer. Everyone was so excited when I pulled a box of blueberries out of the sack, rinsed them off and said "Go at them!" They also had 1 pound packages of sausage for $1.99, so I grabbed two of that too.

I am saving one box of strawberries to make Easy Strawberry Jam.

I'm also going to make a couple batches of Quick and Easy Blueberry Muffins, and make some blueberry pancakes. Everybody is so excited to have some flavors we haven't had in a while!

I was also given a big zucchini, so going to make a stir fry with that.
