More Dollar Tree Thanksgiving videos and some of my own tips

Dollar Tree Thanksgiving

$20 Dollar Tree Dinner she bought everything she needed and didn’t add things from home, but her total came to $23.75

A few tips of my own that I’ve employed over the years

1.  If you can’t wrangle getting a turkey, either because you can’t afford the minimum purchase to get the cheap price, or afford the actual bird, get a chicken. Roasting a whole chicken can have the exact same effect, a beautiful roasted bird centerpiece.

2. If you are going for that minimum purchase turkey, think outside the turkey day dinner. Are there items you can buy ahead for Christmas dinner? Or that can double as gifts? Use it as a chance to stock your pantry?

3. Go for canned or frozen vegetables instead of fresh.

4. Choose sides that can stretch a dollar. Potatoes, stuffing, rice, bread and make plenty of those to fill in around the edges. Also putting out a vegetable tray to snack on before the meal will fill people up. Carrots and celery are usually on sale this week, so a plate of cut up carrots and celery with some ranch dressing is an inexpensive way to fill people up

5. Skip traditional all together and go Mexican Style or Pasta and salad

6. Don’t spend money on pop. Serve tea and lemonade or kool aid

7.  The simpler the recipe, the less expensive.

Hope all of your holiday prep is going smoothly!
