We didn't do much for the Fourth of July, but we did take the kids to watch fireworks down by the river. Otherwise we just stayed around home and tried to keep cool. Did you plan anything special for the Fourth?

Shopping was a little depressing this week. Usually the stores put out some pretty great deals to lure customers in for the Fourth of July weekend, but that didn't seem to happen this year. I did stop by the Dollar store as they had those $5 off $25 coupons and I had been setting some money aside for that. They were giving out free bottles of water and packages of cookies to celebrate the holiday. The kids I had with me were pretty tickled with that treat!

Here is this week's menu plan. We are using more of that on sale bacon and chicken quarters I got last week, we'll be eating on them for a few weeks yet. It is supposed to be hot here this week so I tried to mix up cooked and noncooked things to try to keep the place as cool as I can. Hope you all have a great week!
